Remember that old saying, “Never change something if it’s not broke.” Apparently Pepsi has never heard of it! Thanks to Brand New for the heads-up.
Here’s another take at the evolution of the Pepsi logo (thanks PSFK!). It is interesting to note the similarity of the Pepsi logo to the Coca-Cola logo; its evolution over the years retained very little reference (actually, none at all!) to the original. I reckon Pepsi had to effect the logo change because of its obvious calligraphic similarity to Coke.
